Into the Woods

The music is inspired by walks through the woods in the early stages of the pandemic. I collected field recordings with my Zoom H2n, e.g. steps through the leaves or the hammering woodpecker have made their way into the music.

The EP was supported by an artist grant from the Ministry of Culture and Science (NRW). I am especially happy that Zino Mikorey mastered my EP, as he did for some of my all-time favorite albums. The cover artwork is inspired by the great Anni Albers and my never ending fascination for the thousands shades of green in the forest since I was a child. 

Free Sample Pack: 30 one shot samples created during the production of my EP. Crackling leaves, cracking branches, footsteps in the forest, destined to complement drums and percussion as an organic layer. Recorded with a ZOOM H2n mobile recorder. Post processing includes Soundtoys Decapitator, FabFilter Saturn, Oeksound soothe.
